  •  Our Commitment  Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington Inc. is committed to protecting the privacy of the personal information of its employees, members, donors and other stakeholders.  We protect your personal information and adhere to all legislative requirements with respect to privacy.  
  •  Defining Personal Information  Personal information is any information that can be used to distinguish, identify or contact a specific individual.  Business contact information and certain publicly available information such as names, addresses and telephone numbers as published in telephone directories, are not considered personal information.  
  •  Privacy Practices  We do not rent, sell or trade mailing lists.  We use your personal information, after receiving your consent to provide services and to keep you informed and up to date on the activities of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington, including programs, services, special events, funding needs, opportunities to volunteer.  All information is kept in confidence.  Personnel are authorized to access personal information based only on their need to deal with the information for the reason(s) for which it was obtained.  Safeguards are in place to ensure that the information that is not disclosed or shared more widely than is necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was gathered.  Procedures are in place to ensure information is safely maintained both on the computer and in hard copy.  
  •  Website  Our website only contains information about our programs and does not identify any members.  Any photos used have been with the consent of the participant.  
  •  Newsletter  Our newsletter identifies members of our service who have given their consent to be included in this, by only identifying them by using their first name.  Our volunteers and donors are identified as supporters in our newsletters and during our banquet or Annual General Meeting.  At any time, you may request to be removed from this publication, by contacting our office at 613-544-1621.  Questions or concerns about our privacy policy can be made by contacting us at 613-544-1621.
